I'm Rob Gillis.
I've been involved in the music business back to my teenage years.
I've been involved in radio, record retail, record labels, recording studios, music criticism, concert promotion, music magazine publishing, stage managing, publicity, album design, songwriting, publishing administration, music video, serving on non-profit boards, writing and altering contracts, lecturing, and carrying the bass player's amp up three flights of stairs in the winter.
And I play piano well.
But not as well as Keith Jarrett or Lang Lang or Jerry Lee Lewis.
I've twice been a governor of the Midwest chapter of NARAS.
And served as president of EARS, the Engineering And Recording Society of Chicago.
I've represented some of the best talent in the Midwest full-time and but now consult on a project-by-project basis.
